Authentic Style GmbH – Story

With the launch and subsequent supervision of the Italian textile brand Arve Editori more than thirty years ago Rüdiger Franke took the initial steps towards a Europe-wide distribution, from which today’s international sales agency Authentic Style developed.

At the same time the company founded its own retail outlets under the name Style Sportswear. The know-how gained as a result of this experience on the specific needs of the specialist retail trade was, and still is today, an integral part of the agency’s success.

In 1984 the company’s own core expertise in the fashionable denim brands sector was then developed with the Italian jeans brand Ball by the label Closed.

Other brands from the sportswear and denim sectors, such as Big Star and Jeff and Fais followed over time, and with them the development of retailer contacts to form the internationally established distribution network in place today.

With the distribution of further sportswear brands, such as Chevy and Healey Sportswear and Pall Mall, over the years the idea of a multi-label distribution company was born.

At the beginning of 2000 Authentic Style took over the international distribution of the Wellensteyn jacket, which, at the time, was still unknown. The previously developed expertise and contacts, combined with innovative distribution strategies, have led to the international success of Authentic Style and the companies it represents.

Nowadays Authentic Style is an international company representing different brands such as MEK USA DNM and Elbkind and is just as much at home on the North American market as it is in Germany.

With its own import and export company, Style Textil GmbH & Co. KG, and two logistics centers in Los Angeles and Wunstorf near Hanover, it is possible, within the shortest available time, to make products from all over the world accessible to specialist retailers.

Furthermore, as a result of the international work of the past few decades Authentic Style has access to an efficient, well-established IT system, which supplies the international distribution team with important information, wherever they are in the world.

With the in-house marketing agency Guerilla Style GmbH, Authentic Style constantly succeeds in developing innovative strategies to promote the development of the different brands.

The company’s own specialist merchandising department successfully develops and markets shops and shop systems for the retail trade.
